Volcano Fuel
His heart was hard as a bone
Harder than a stone
Struck with hammer, sparks would fly
Nothing could get in or out of this guy
Putting on a nice face for all to see
He mastered the art of fakery
No one understood this powerful man
His attitude shifted with the sand
Worldly successful in all he did
Through it all, the heart held its lid
What can ever change this man you ask?
Will he ever remove the mask?
Years gone by, he refused to change
Feeding the ego, he found others to blame
Zero to seventy went real fast
He believed in himself, all will last
Gone and forgotten, who can remember?
Is he down in hell glowing like an ember?
I look into the mirror, and check close to see
Is there any part of him, in me?

The Serpent
Mission of the Snake (Foiled)
The serpent came into the garden
He crept unnoticed from his den
He was not just a threat of harm
But held those who lived there under his charm
This snake had a mission to change us all
To cause Adam and Eve to experience the fall
One serpent acting alone, did a dastardly deed
By lying and cheating, with deceptions of greed
A relationship was destroyed with God and creation
A choice was made, to give all up for self-gratification
Thinking we would become as smart as God
To know what is good and evil, happened with a nod
The serpent came into the garden
He crept unnoticed from his den
The Three creators witnessed the weakness of man
As Eve then Adam did believe the serpent’s plan
Father, Son and the Holy Spirit had fore-warned mans demise
In Triune sadness They watched man choose to believe lies
The deceptive serpent began that day a war for mans attention
To steal from God, His most favored part of creation
Evil then distorted mans heart mind and soul
From generation to generation, dealt man the fatal blow
The only way this serious problem could be made right
Was witnessed by the man who would give the great fight
The serpent came into the garden
He crept unnoticed from his den
Jesus the Son of God was watching the serpent’s crafty ways
And knew then His call to the faithful was His Fathers will to save
As the Creator proclaimed His relationship with man
Jesus the Son was preparing Himself for the sacrifice at hand
Man tried to work out many methods of atonement
Spent many years rewriting God’s laws for their own enjoyment
Ages and ages past over the earth
Then came the time for the Christ child’s birth
Gods one and only way to heal mans disobedient bent
Was to show Himself real and merciful though Christ He sent
The serpent came into the garden
He crept unnoticed from his den
Mankind was more than sick; he was rightfully dead in sin
Even if we wanted, we could not un-harden the heart within
We lacked all desire to change the situation
We needed input from the Father of creation
The new life came from God and only God you see
This happen when the Son of God hung on a tree
He gave His all for you and for me
A true friend changed history
Now we have new eyes, new ears, and new heart
The serpent is now noticeable before he starts
If we use our eyes we can see him coming into the garden
If we use our ears we can hear him creeping from his den
If we use our heart we can show others the love of our friend

Forth Post Government
Hood Winking and Hood Robin.
Hood Robin was Robin Hood of Loxleys long lost half brother, whose real father was Jimmy "the creep of London" Robin. Robin Hood’s father, of course known by all, was Bob "the nice guy" Hood. Hood Robin is the exact opposite in personality, attitude and action as Robin Hood his half brother. Hood Robin, being a creep like his father, steals from the poor and gives to the rich. This proved beneficial to gaining power and influence with the titled ones in the Kingdom. By catering to the rich and powerful, Hood Robin could operate freely throughout the governmental system without fear. In fact, he was sought after by all the Kings and Queens around the globe for his ability to fill their purses. His methods were simple. Poor people have no recourse if you take what little they have. Their voices carry no threat to the elite. The law does not recognize complaint from them. So penny upon penny, dollar upon dollar the poor become poorer and poorer. The rich become richer. Hood Robin met his end when government's in the west and east replaced his methods with the now famous system called taxes. Where the money is sent to the Kingdom headquarters and is given out to the big corporations in repayments for campaign contributions and lobby efforts.
The term "hoodwinked" has become the excepted description for this type of action. Present day is no different than two thousand years ago. Men seeking power must go to professional "hoodwinkers" for their help in raising money to run a campaign. All efforts to expose this have failed. Even a majority of news stations practice this in their own form. "Hoodwinking" is so popular it's use is found everywhere. For example just take time to look and listen to what's going on around you and behold you will see it is some fashion. The term "Spin doctor" is a low ranking amateur, and must work several years to become a "professional Hoodwinker". Many colleges and universities now offer short cut courses to obtain a degree in hoodwinking. This art form has elevated from it's meager beginnings to the ultimate in getting money to buy power. So there you have it, the best of the story.

Third Post President Bush
January 12, 2009 already! What was mentioned in the first post? Right! The rapid passing of measured time. President Bush conducted his final news conference today. He was relaxed and open on his feelings about his administration. Personally I like him as a being a good man. As president he did not disappoint me. Why? I think because he is a human being like me. Influenced by our inherited and self induced sin, none of us can be perfect. If we were, there would be no need for God whatsoever. That would be a sad and boring environment. We did not create the universe, but I highly suspect if we were perfect we would sill be in sin,not giving the credit due God for His making it all.
So as President Bush closes out his time in the white house, we pray for George and Laura Bush. God be with you and thanks for sharing your faith , showing your faith, using your faith with us.
And to the new President, Barrack Obama may you experience the love of God and discover not one minute is possible without faith in God the creator. His Son Jesus Christ. And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those seek Him. Hebrews 6:11

Second Post Bridges
Well then this day is going along without a hitch. Wife, #1 Daughter and myself walked over the bridge and back. The bridge that connects Lido Key with downtown Sarasota. Which reminded me of the time John Gaines and I walked the Brooklyn Bridge both ways from the Brooklyn side.
After reading David McCullough's book on the Brooklyn Bridge. I was wondering what it would look like up close. Like everything, in person is the best way to experience it. After all these years the bridge looks healthy and strong. The upper walking deck is the best view of lower New York city, the east river and all around. If you ever find yourself in New York walk the Brooklyn Bridge and take your time at it. Think of the men who built it, suffering the hard work to construct such a solid stone suspension bridge in a age when stuff like this very unusual.
